Fried Peanut Butter & Banana Shot (Elvis Shot)

INTRODUCTION: Legend has it the King of Rock and Roll cherished a good fried Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich. He’d take two pieces of bread, spread thick with a creamy peanut butter, layered with sliced or mashed banana (depending on who you ask) and then topped with a few crispy thick strips of bacon.

So, for this reason whether lawful or not we’ve chosen to dub this delicious Peanut Butter and Banana shot simply, The Elvis Shot. Legend also has it that Elvis was no stranger to intellectual property “borrowing” so we hope his legal team doesn’t mind.

What is an Elvis Shot?

An Elvis Shot is our spin on a what’s known to be Legendary Rock Artist, Las Vegas Strip Performer and Ordained minister Elvis Pressley’s favorite sandwich, The Peanut Butter & fried Banana sandwich.

What’s in an Elvis Shot?

Elvis Shots are made combining 1-Part Peanut Butter Whiskey, and 1-Part Banana Liqueur. Like all great shots, this shot is served chilled with a thick crispy strip of bacon garnish – how Elvis would want it.

How to take an Elvis Shot

Got your Bacon ready? This is important. We’ve crafted this shot to be taken in, well in a sandwich method.

Bacon, Shot, Bacon.

This is the proper way to take an Elvis shot, doing this wrong is like making a sandwich wrong. Now, let’s debate in the comments how to make a proper sandwich.

Elvis Shot Instructions

Taste: Peanut Buttery, Sweet

Occasion: All Occasion

Preparation Time: 2 mins

Glassware Type: Shot Glass

Tools: A Jigger or Measuring Cup, Shaker, Strainer

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 oz Peanut Butter Whiskey
  • 1 oz Banana Liqueur
  • 1 Strip of Crispy Bacon

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Fill your cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Pour both ingredients into your cocktail shaker.
  3. Shake thoroughly 15-20 seconds.
  4. Strain and pour into a shot glass.
  5. Serve with a Crispy Bacon strip, Drink and enjoy!

Pro tip:

The whiskey matters some peanut butter whiskeys are much sweeter than others which results in a sweeter shot. If your favorite peanut butter whiskey is heavily sweetened, try a half oz split between flavored and non-flavored whiskey for a more balance tasting shot as the banana liqueur is fairly sweet itself.
